Our mission is to ignite and expedite community-driven initiatives in Sudan, Africa, and the Middle East. By fostering equitable development in food, health, education, housing, and work systems, we provide innovative solutions to overcome structural challenges. We coordinate efforts with various actors and institutions through a holistic approach grounded in sensing, exploration, testing, and sustainable growth.

Our Story

Empowering cooperatives and people since 2019

Sharik is a professional corporation operating as a Community-Based Organization (CBO). It was established to work effectively and closely within its ecosystem at the local, regional, and international levels. Sharik operates in all states of Sudan through its Community Development Centers (Development Towers), which are interconnected and owned by local community stakeholders. The foundation aims to develop models that align with the unique characteristics of different countries, leveraging the widespread network of Accelerator Labs to build regional and international Development Towers. These interconnected towers strive to achieve the desired interests of their communities and enhance bonds of synergy and solidarity among people. Sharik accomplishes this by providing services in its various fields of expertise, developing information systems, data, research, projects, and strategies, formulating public policies, and focusing on capacity building. It also offers technical support and manages and develops community assets, including human, social, institutional, physical, environmental, political, and financial resources.
